Marilyn II

Though never taken seriously, Marilyn was the first woman to found her own production company. She pressed on but never could never find the love she was searching for.  Learn to love yourself and remember what she said, “Sometimes things fall apart, so better things fall together.”

No one is perfect.  No one should be put on a pedestal to be worshipped or adorned.  We all make mistakes, and we are all learning as we go, or at least should be.  We must all carve out our own way and learn to think for ourselves.  However, others’ stories can motivate and inspire us just by knowing nothing is impossible.  Their stories can also lead us by showing us what path not to take as well.

Having a giant Marilyn Monroe portrait in my living room is a constant reminder that a woman can be beautiful, intelligent, successful and feminine.  If you doubt any of those adjectives used  to describe Marilyn, then read her story.  She embodied hard work, determination, persistence and belief in herself.  All the characteristics of every successful person.  Her downfall was her inability to love and trust herself enough to proceed forward with unwavering courage that she was all she needed.  This, too, is a daily reminder to see my self worth.

So with hard work, determination, persistence and courage go forth.
